Of course I have the dual WSTE-M Shotguns in Marathon: INFESTED and no Marathon based game is complete without them. But, I also was going to have a rebel variant of a shotgun. BUT, I don't know if you people think it would cheapen the dual WSTE-M Shotguns to have another shotgun in the game. I was thinking of a shotgun along the lines of a clip-fed sawed-off type of weapon. So, post your opinions in the comments, and I'll see who wants what. The choices are:
1: Only the WSTE-M should be used, no other shotguns.
2: Use both, they sound cool and you should have variants.
3: OTHER

I'd say... both.
The more weapons... the better. :D
Yeah, agreed. Both.
I vote for just the dual wields...
Are there really that many variations on a shotgun to make it interesting?
I like the notion of variants on the shotguns, but if you're going to include two types of a weapon, you should probably add variants on other weapons, like a machine pistol, or a heavy rifle, light rifle, battle rifle, a bit like The Grey Project, or like the Halo games, with different factions having different weapons that essentially serve the same purpose in their respective arsenals.
Hey, this is macfan from the INFESTED forum. I say stick with the original shotguns. I have seen games have two shotgus and pull it off (Timesplitters, Goldeneye...), but the Marathon shotguns are very unique to the series, I wouldn't shadow them with anything.
more weapons!
i agree with bink!
